- 2 c. sugar
- 2 c. unsifted all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 c. buttermilk
- 1 tsp. soda
- 3 Tbsp. cocoa
- 1 lb. confectioner’s sugar
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts, pecans or walnuts (optional)
