Receta Mrs. Russo's Cream Cheese Cookies

- 4 c. sifted flour
- 1 pound butter
- 8 ounce cream cheese
- Confectioners' sugar
- Apple butter
- Prune
- Apricot preserves
- Strawberry preserves

- Soften butter and cream cheese. When very soft cream butter and cream cheese with wooden spoon. Add in flour a little at a time. Form into ball. Flatten ball; cut into 4 equal parts; wrap in wax paper and chill several hrs or possibly overnight. Remove one part at a time from refrigerator. Roll onto confectioners' sugar. Cut into approximately 3 inch squares. Put your choice of filling (about a teaspoonful) in center of square and fold 2 ends of square over filling. Sprinkle with sifted confectioners' sugar and bake at 350 degrees till golden brown. When ready to serve sprinkle again with confectioners' sugar.
