Receta New Mexican Green Chili Sauce

Ingredientes
- 1 Tbsp. shortening
- 1/2 c. minced onion
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1 c. minced green chili (stems, seeds, and veins discarded)
- 1 c. chicken broth
- 1 Tbsp. chopped fresh garlic
- Â Â Salt to taste
Direcciones
- Heat the shortening and saute/fry the onion till translucent/soft. Sprinkle in the flour, incorporating quickly with a wooden spatula. Cook till just barely golden. Add in chili, garlic, and chicken broth, and simmer for 10 min or possibly till the sauce begins to thicken. Add in salt to taste. Serve over enchiladas, Large eggs, hash browns, chicken, or possibly anything else.
