,%20and%20I%20have%20to%20say%20that%20Martha%20hit%20this%20cookie%20dough%20out%20of%20the%20park.%20%20Sweet,%20oaty%20and%20utterly%20irresistible,%20I%20think%20I%20liked%20the%20dough%20ever%20so%20slightly%20more%20than%20the%20cookie,%20however%20the%20cookie%20was%20crowned%20positively%20enchanting%20as%20Liv%20and%20I%20taste%20tested%20warm%20and%20cold%20versions...%20for%20review%20purposes,%20of%20course.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDad,%20these%20beauties%20are%20for%20you!!%20%20Thanks%20for%20being%20the%20best%20dad%20ever,%20and%20now%20that%20school%20is%20out%20and%20I'm%20not%20driving%20so%20much,%20let's%20make%20that%2020%20minutes%20not%20so%20far.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHappy%20Father's%20Day!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIn%20a%20medium%20bowl%20combine%20the%20flours,%20oatmeal,%20flax,%20flaked%20coconut%20and%20baking%20soda.%20%20Give%20it%20a%20quick%20whisk%20to%20combine%20and%20set%20aside.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIn%20the%20bowl%20of%20a%20stand%20mixer%20add%20the%20softened%20butter%20and%20cream%20with%20the%20sugars.%20%20Add%20the%20salt,%20vanilla%20and%20eggs%20and%20continue%20mixing%20just%20until%20combined.%20%20Remove%20the%20bowl%20from%20the%20stand%20mixer%20and%20pour%20in%20the%20chopped%20chocolate%20and%20chopped%20apricots.%20%20With%20a%20wooden%20spoon%20gently%20stir%20the%20chocolate%20and%20apricots%20until%20incorporated.%20%20Place%20cookie%20dough%20in%20the%20fridge%20and%20chill%20for%20about%20thirty%20minutes.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAs%20you%20chill%20the%20dough,%20preheat%20the%20oven%20to%20350%C2%BA%20F%20and%20prepare%20your%20baking%20sheets.%20%20(We%20use%20baking%20sheets%20lined%20with%20silicone%20mats).%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAfter%20thirty%20minutes,%20remove%20dough%20from%20the%20refrigerator%20and%20spacing%20two%20inches%20apart,%20drop%20by%20tablespoons%20onto%20the%20prepared%20baking%20sheets.%20%20Bake%20in%20the%20preheated%20oven%20until%20cookies%20are%20golden%20brown%20on%20the%20edges%20yet%20still%20soft%20in%20the%20centers.%20%20Martha%20recommends%2014-16%20minutes,%20however%20my%20oven%20produced%20very%20brown%20edges%20by%20the%2011%20minute%20mark.%20%20Now%20perhaps%20it%20is%20the%20ancient%20appliance%20I'm%20using%20that%20heats%20extraordinarily%20unevenly,%20but%20I%20recommend%20checking%20your%20cookies%20at%20the%2010%20minute%20point%20and%20adjusting%20your%20cooking%20time%20as%20needed.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETransfer%20the%20cookies%20to%20a%20wire%20rack%20to%20cool%20and%20feel%20free%20to%20test%20warm!%20%20Liv%20preferred%20the%20warm%20cookie%20and%20even%20though%20she%20had%20turned%20her%20nose%20up%20at%20the%20addition%20of%20the%20apricots,%20she%20proclaimed%20the%20cookies%20one%20of%20the%20best%20ever.%20%20High%20praise%20from%20my%20cookie%20critic.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ELove%20you%20Dad!!!%20%20(circa%201966)%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
