Receta Oatmeal Orange Cookies With Coconut

Ingredientes
- 1 c. all purpose flour
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp baking pwdr
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp nutmeg
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1 x egg
- 1 x orange, zested
- 2 Tbsp. orange, juice
- 1 1/2 c. quick-cooking rolled oats
- 1 c. unsweetened flaked coconut
Direcciones
- Preheat over to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Sift flour, sugar, baking pwdr, salt and nutmeg into a medium bowl. Add in shortening, egg, orange zest and juice; beat till smooth and well blended. Fold in the rolled oats and coconut.
- Drop dough by teaspoonfuls about 3-inches apart on greased cookie sheets. Bake at 375 degrees for 12 to 15 min, till edges are lightly browned.
- Substitution: You can replace coconut with 1/2 c. crushed almonds.
