Receta Onion-Caraway-Rye Crackers

Ingredientes
- 1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 c. rye flour
- 2 T instant chopped onion
- 2 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon caraway seed
- 1/4 c. shortening, at room temperature
- 3/4 c. water
- 1 egg white
- Coarse salt
Direcciones
- In medium bowl mix well the flours, onion, baking pwdr, salt and caraway seed. Stir in shortening till well blended. Stir in water till smooth dough forms. Add in more water if necessary to stick dough together. Divide in half; cover and let stand at least 10 min.Place half the dough on lightly greased 17 x 14 inch baking sheet and roll to edges of sheet. Dust with flour to roll dough out without sticking. Brush with egg whites then cut to size cracker desired. Sprinkle with seed and salt. Bake in middle of oven in preheated 400 degree oven for 12 to 15 min. Remove to rack to cool. Repeat for second half.
