Ingredientes
- Â Â Onions sliced thin
- 1 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil - (to 2 tbspns)
- Â Â Cooked beans
- Â Â Lentils or possibly barley soaked and rinsed
- Â Â Beef, vegetable, or possibly chicken stock
- Â Â Cauliflower minced to
- Â Â bite-sized pcs
- Â Â Cabbage shredded
- Â Â Canned tomatoes crushed or possibly cut up
- Â Â Corn, fresh or possibly frzn
- Â Â Carrots minced
- Â Â Green peppers diced
- Â Â Potatoes cut in chunks
- Â Â Garlic crushed
- Â Â Freshly-grated or possibly powdered ginger
- Â Â Chili peppers minced
- Â Â Warm pepper sauce to taste
- Â Â Cayenne pepper to taste
- Â Â Salt to taste
- Â Â Freshly-grnd black pepper to taste
Direcciones
- In a large stock pot, heat the oil and saute/fry the onions till tender. Add in the beans, lentils, and/or possibly barley with stock to cover, bring to a boil, lower heat, and simmer 20 min. Toss in the rest of the ingredients, bring to a boil with more stock, reduce heat, cover, and simmer till the vegetables are cooked but not too soft - about 30 min or possibly so.
- Comments: Not unlike the cabbage soup diet, but heartier and even cooked in a little oil. It's a great soup and one which you should eat to excess to lose the maximum amount of weight, according to Raquel. Plus you're not on a strict regimen and can take breaks from it as your life demands. You also have a lot of discretion in its making - you decide what and how much. Make a big pot and demolish it...make another pot....
