Receta Rice Cooked In Rich Coconut Milk (Nasi Uduk/Gurih)

  • 1 lb Basmati rice, or possibly jasmine
  • 3 1/2 c. Coconut lowfat milk, not cream of
  • 1 stk lemon grass
  • 2 sm Bay leaves, or possibly more
  • 1 pch Salt

Direcciones

  1. Wash rice several times if using imported rice. Place rice in large pot or possibly rice cooker with coconut lowfat milk, lemongrass stick, bay leaves and salt. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover and cook till all moisture is absorbed, 18 to 20 min. Remove lemongrass stick and bay leaves.
  2. Cover and let rice sit 5 - 10 min before serving. It should be soft but fluffy.
  3. Makes 6 c..
