Ingredientes
- 4 to 6 carrots, peeled and cut into pieces
- 4 to 6 potatoes, peeled and cut into spears
- 1 large leek, rinsed and cut into small pieces
- 1 large yellow onion, cut into chunks
- 3 tablespoons butter
- salt and pepper
- 2 sprigs of fresh rosemary
- 15 cloves garlic
- 1 lemon, cut into pieces
- 1 cup white wine or chicken stock
- Cream Sauce (optional):
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 1 cup white wine
- 2 cups heavy cream
- salt and pepper to taste

%20%20He%20called%20his%20computer%20guy,%20the%20one%20who%20owes%20us%20$$$,%20the%20very%20same%20one%20who%20talked%20the%20mister%20into%20investing%20in%20his%20new%20start-up...promises%20of%20grandeur%20followed.%20%20Well,%20sad%20to%20say,%20but%20the%20dreams%20of%20grandeur%20swirled%20right%20down%20the%20drain,%20along%20with%20our%20cash...but%20the%20mister%20has%20a%20soft%20spot%20in%20his%20heart%20for%20the%20computer%20guy,%20so%20he%20continues%20to%20throw%20him%20bones.%20%20And%20while%20the%20computer%20guy%20fixes%20the%20computers%20he%20whines%20about%20what%20a%20failure%20he%20is%20and%20how%20broke%20he%20is%20and%20how%20nothing%20he%20ever%20does%20turns%20out%20right...boo-frickitty-who-ing%20to%20the%20mister!%20%20The%20mister,%20as%20impossible%20as%20it%20seems%20due%20to%20his%20heart%20being%20three%20sizes%20too%20small,%20was%20actually%20being%20reeled%20in%20again!%20%20Fortunately%20he%20caught%20himself,%20right%20after%20the%20computer%20guy%20asked%20for%20a%20loan.%20%20Well%20folks,%20I'm%20sure%20it%20wasn't%20pretty.%20%20You%20can%20ask%20the%20mister%20to%20invest%20and%20you%20can%20ask%20the%20mister%20to%20donate...but%20you%20can%20NEVER%20ask%20the%20mister%20for%20a%20LOAN.%20%20LOAN%20is%20the%20only%204-letter%20word%20that%20the%20mister%20thinks%20of%20as%20a%204-letter%20word.%20%20The%20computer%20guy%20would%20have%20been%20better%20off%20poking%20a%20hungry%20bear%20with%20a%20branding%20iron...I'm%20sure%20he'll%20never%20make%20that%20mistake%20again!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ERoasted%20rosemary-garlic-lemon%20chicken...all%20I%20can%20tell%20you%20is%20it's%20spectacularly%20good%20and%20easy%20to%20prepare.%20%20The%20rosemary%20provides%20just%20a%20hint%20of%20flavor%20and%20don't%20be%20fooled%20by%20the%2015%20garlic%20cloves%20-%20you'll%20only%20get%20the%20essence%20of%20garlic%20-%20it's%20subtle-ness%20will%20beguile%20you.%20%20When%20it's%20done%20you%20can%20either%20eat%20it%20just%20as%20it%20is%20-%20which%20is%20excellent%20-%20or%20you%20an%20remove%20the%20chicken%20and%20veggies%20to%20a%20platter%20and%20make%20a%20cream%20sauce/gravy,%20which%20I%20did,%20and%20then%20the%20excellence%20of%20it%20all%20is%20compounded%20exponentially!%20%20I%20made%20this%20delicious%20meal%20for%20the%20mister,%20after%20his%20hard%20day%20at%20Global%20Headquarters,%20because%20I%20know%20it's%20not%20easy%20for%20him%20to%20have%20a%20tiny%20heart%20in%20such%20a%20big,%20bleeding%20world,%20so%20I%20wanted%20him%20to%20know%20I%20loved%20and%20appreciated%20him...he%20walked%20into%20the%20kitchen%20and%20sat%20down%20at%20the%20table,%20looked%20at%20his%20plate%20with%20food%20fit%20for%20a%20king%20and%20said,%20%22Why%20can't%20I%20just%20get%20a%20piece%20of%20boiled%20ham%20and%20some%20green%20beans?!?%22%20%20I%20said%20nothing.%20%20I%20turned%20my%20back%20to%20him,%20whipped%20out%20my%20voo-doo%20doll%20and%20stuck%20another%20pin%20into%20it's%20heart.%20%20Boo-fricketty-who.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ERoasted%20Rosemary-Garlic-Lemon%20Chicken%20-%20Pots%20and%20Pins%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E1%20whole%20fryer,%20rinsed%20and%20dried%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPreheat%20oven%20to%20350%20degrees.%20%20In%20a%20large%20roasting%20pan,%20combine%20the%20carrots,%20potatoes,%20leek,%20and%20onion.%20%20Season%20lightly%20with%20salt%20and%20pepper.%20%20Pour%20white%20wine%20or%20chicken%20stock%20into%20roaster.%20%20Remove%20any%20%22parts%22%20inside%20the%20chicken%20and%20then%20stuff%20the%20center%20cavity%20with%20rosemary,%20garlic%20and%20lemon.%20%20Set%20chicken%20in%20roaster%20on%20top%20of%20veggies.%20%20Rub%20butter%20all%20over%20outside%20of%20chicken%20and%20season%20with%20salt%20and%20pepper.%20%20Cover%20roaster%20with%20foil.%20%20Bake%20in%20350%20degree%20oven%20for%20one%20hour.%20%20After%20an%20hour,%20remove%20foil%20and%20continue%20to%20bake%20for%20an%20additional%2030%20minutes.%20%20When%20chicken%20is%20done,%20remove%20it%20and%20veggies%20to%20a%20serving%20platter.%20%20Make%20sure%20the%20chicken%20is%20done%20first%20by%20cutting%20between%20the%20drumstick%20and%20thigh,%20if%20the%20juices%20run%20clear%20it%20is%20done,%20if%20not,%20pop%20it%20back%20into%20the%20oven%20for%2015%20minutes.%20%20(My%20chicken%20had%20been%20previously%20frozen%20and%20while%20I%20thought%20it%20was%20thawed,%20it%20%20was%20still%20very%20cold%20when%20I%20put%20it%20into%20the%20roaster%20so%20it%20cooked%20for%20two%20hours%20before%20it%20was%20done.)%20%20Serves%204%20to%206.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETo%20make%20cream%20sauce:%20%20After%20chicken%20is%20done,%20remove%20it%20and%20the%20veggies%20to%20a%20platter%20and%20cover%20loosely%20with%20foil%20to%20keep%20warm.%20%20Set%20the%20roasting%20pan%20on%20the%20stove%20top%20and%20to%20the%20pan%20add%203%20tablespoons%20butter%20and%203%20tablespoons%20flour.%20%20Whisk%20together%20and%20bring%20to%20a%20boil%20and%20boil%20for%20one%20minute.%20%20Slowly%20whisk%20in%20one%20cup%20of%20white%20wine,%20bring%20to%20a%20boil%20and%20allow%20to%20cook%20for%20three%20minutes.%20%20Slowly%20pour%20in%20two%20cups%20of%20heavy%20cream,%20do%20not%20boil.%20%20Taste%20and%20adjust%20salt%20and%20pepper%20if%20needed.%20%20Return%20chicken%20and%20veggies%20to%20the%20pan%20and%20any%20juices%20from%20the%20platter.%20%20Reduce%20heat%20to%20low%20and%20cook,%20coating%20veggies%20and%20chicken%20until%20all%20is%20heated%20through.%20%20Return%20veggies%20and%20chicken%20to%20platter.%20%20Pour%20remaining%20sauce%20into%20a%20serving%20dish%20and%20pass%20with%20the%20chicken.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E%22Every%20big%20problem%20was%20at%20one%20time%20a%20wee%20disturbance.%22%20%20~%20Unknown%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
