We went here several weeks ago in one of our quarterly team building, located in Parnell ————— just near one of the top restaurants in Auckland, Cibo ———————-. Upon entering the premises we saw five counters with ingredients and Japanese costumes are waiting.
There were also racks of fine wine which we are free to help ourselves (such an awesome company I work with)
So after we settled down and had some drinks
the chicken was amazing, it’s seasoned well and very juicy. Then there was this calamari platter with goi cuon.
There were several platters served and it continued to flow like it’s unlimited. Just with this finger foods we are already stuffed, no need to have dinner. Anyways after enjoying this delicious…

%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESo%20after%20we%20settled%20down%20and%20had%20some%20drinks%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ethe%20chicken%20was%20amazing,%20it%E2%80%99s%20seasoned%20well%20and%20very%20juicy.%20Then%20there%20was%20this%20calamari%20platter%20with%20goi%20cuon.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThere%20were%20several%20platters%20served%20and%20it%20continued%20to%20flow%20like%20it%E2%80%99s%20unlimited.%20Just%20with%20this%20finger%20foods%20we%20are%20already%20stuffed,%20no%20need%20to%20have%20dinner.%20Anyways%20after%20enjoying%20this%20delicious%20platters%20we%20then%20started%20and%20Rohan%20who%20I%20believe%20is%20the%20head%20chef%20explained%20to%20us%20what%20to%20do.%20A%20funny%20Filipino%20guy,%20we%20never%20had%20any%20dull%20moment%20with%20him%20which%20makes%20the%20learning%20part%20even%20more%20interesting.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHe%20then%20grouped%20us%20into%20fours%20so%20we%20had%20four%20groups,%20the%20objective%20is%20to%20win%20by%20getting%20point%20throughout%20the%20whole%20event.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EFirst%20he%20demonstrated%20to%20us%20how%20to%20make%20Beans%20with%20sesame%20paste%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ethen%20making%20gyoza%E2%80%99s%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Eand%20cooking%20them%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Eafter%20that%20he%20demonstrated%20making%20tempura,%20from%20slicing%20the%20vegetables%20and%20making%20the%20prawns%20straight.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDuring%20the%20demonstration%20he%20ask%20some%20questions%20and%20when%20you%20get%20the%20answer%20it%20will%20add%20to%20your%20group%20points.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThen%20when%20everything%20was%20ready%20he%20started%20plating%20and%20let%20us%20tasted%20what%20he%20made.%20He%20then%20sent%20us%20to%20our%20own%20counters%20and%20gave%20us%2030%20minutes%20to%20cook%20the%20same%20thing%20he%20prepared%20namely:%20Vegetable%20Tempura,%20Shrimp%20Tempura,%20Cold%20Soba%20Noodles,%20Gyoza%20and%20Beans%20in%20Sesame%20Paste.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWe%20then%20started,%20I%20led%20the%20group%20as%20agreed%20by%20the%20members%20because%20they%20know%20I%20blog%20and%20have%20experience%20in%20cooking.%20Having%20said%20that%20I%20was%20with%20two%20other%20members%20that%20I%20know%20can%20cook%20good%20food%20as%20well,%20one%20of%20them%20was%20the%20one%20who%20made%20this%20salt%20crusted%20steak%20on%20one%20of%20our%20team%20buildings.%20We%20started%20chopping,%20cooking,%20making%20gyozas%20and%20the%20time%20went%20so%20fast%20but%20we%20managed%20to%20finish%20everything%20in%20time,%20we%20also%20cleaned%20our%20stations%20because%20it%20is%20also%20included%20in%20the%20point%20system.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThis%20was%20the%20result,%20our%20Beans%20in%20Sesame%20Paste%20gave%20us%20the%20most%20points%20as%20this%20was%20the%20best%20of%20the%20bunch.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ethen%20our%20tempura,%20it%20did%20not%20give%20us%20that%20many%20points%20as%20the%20prawns%20the%20judge%20got%20was%20my%20first%20batch%20I%20placed%20in%20the%20most%20bottom%20part,%20it%20was%20a%20little%20bit%20over%20cooked.%20I%20wish%20he%20got%20the%20top%20one%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ethen%20the%20gyoza%20which%20was%20a%20hard%20battle%20between%20my%20bosses%20version,%20their%20version%20was%20the%20most%20seasoned%20one.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESo%20after%20tallying%20the%20full%20results%20we%20came%20in%20close%20second%20but%20there%20was%20a%20final%20challenge%20which%20can%20give%20us%20enough%20points%20to%20win%20the%20first%20place.%20It%20was%20the%20chopsticks%20challenge%20where%20you%20pick%20nuts%20from%20using%20chopsticks%20and%20transfer%20them%20from%20one%20bowl%20to%20another.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWe%20won%20it%20giving%20us%20the%20first%20place.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ewith%20that%20medal%20and%20bragging%20rights%20we%20were%20also%20given%20some%20sparkling%20sake%20which%20we%20then%20gladly%20shared%20with%20everyone.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESachie%E2%80%99s%20Kitchen%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAddress:%20Suite%201.4,%20Axis%20Building,%2091%20St%20Georges%20Bay%20Rd,%20Parnell,%20Auckland%201052%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPhone:%20+64%209%20302%207680%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWebsite:%20http://www.sachieskitchen.com/%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
