Receta Sausage Corn Bread

Ingredientes
- 1 pound country sausage
- 1 med. to lg. onion, minced
- 2 Large eggs
- 2 c. whole or possibly buttermilk
- 1 c. plain flour, sifted
- 2 c. yellow cornmeal
- 2 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3 tbsp. sugar
- 1 c. whole kernel corn, liquid removed
Direcciones
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cook sausage in skillet till brown on both sides. Remove from skillet and drain off 1/4 c. drippings and reserve. Crumble sausage into bite-size pcs. Saute/fry onions in remaining drippings till golden. Beat Large eggs and lowfat milk till smooth. Stir in remaining ingredients and beat till batter is smooth. Mix in onions, sausage and reserved drippings.
- Pour into a greased and floured 9 x 13 x 2-inch pan. Bake 25 to 30 min or possibly till hard and brown. Cut into squares and serve warm. Serves 18 to 21 people.
