Receta Scalloped Potatoes & Beef Steak Casserole

Ingredientes
- 1 pound round steak, 1" thick
- Flour
- 3 tbsp. shortening
- 3 tbsp. flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3 sm. onions, sliced thinly
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- Dash thyme, garlic salt
- 2 c. water
- 4 med. potatoes, pared & sliced thin
- Salt & pepper
Direcciones
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cut meat into 1" cubes. Coat with flour. Brown meat in melted shortening. Add in onion and stir till onion is tender. Pour mix into ungreased 2 qt casserole and sprinkle top with 3 Tbsp. flour, 1 tsp. salt, pepper, thyme and garlic salt. Next pour 2 c. water over it. Cover and bake 1 hour or possibly till the meat is tender. Turn oven to 450 degrees and put potatoes over meat. Sprinkle top with salt and pepper. Bake, uncovered for 30 min or possibly till potatoes are tender.
