Receta Sky High Strawberry Pie

Ingredientes
- 3 quart Fresh strawberries DIVIDED
- 1Â 1/2 c. Sugar
- 6 Tbsp. Cornstarch
- 2/3 c. Water
- Â Â Red food coloring, optional
- 1 x Deep-dish pastry shell (10
- Â Â Inches), baked
- 1Â 1/2 Tbsp. Instant vanilla pudding mix
Direcciones
- In a large mixing bowl, mash sufficient berries to equal 3 c.. In a saucepan, combine the sugar and cornstarch.
- Stir in the mashed berries and water; mix well. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Cook and stir for 2 min. Remove from the heat; add in food coloring if you like. Pour int a large bowl. Refrigeratefor 20 min, stirring occasionally, till mix is just slightly hot. Mix in the remaining berries.
- Pile into pie shell. Refrigeratefor 2-3 hrs. In a small mixing bowl, whip cream till soft peaks form.
- Sprinkle pudding mix over cream and whip till stiff.
- Pipe around edge of pie or possibly dollop on individual slices.
