Receta Southern Carrot Cake

Ingredientes
- 3 c. grated carrots
- 2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoon soda
- 2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 c. salad oil
- 4 large eggs
- 1 (8 ounce) pkg. cream cheese
- 4 T butter
- 1 pound powdered sugar
- 1 c. pecans or possibly black walnuts, broken into pcs
- 2 teaspoon vanilla
Direcciones
- Grate the carrots, cover and set aside. Sift together the flour, soda, cinnamon and salt. In another bowl, mix together the sugar, salad oil and large eggs. Add in the carrots. Add in the dry ingredients to the sugar mix and mix well. Divide the batter among 3 layer cake pans which have been thoroughly greased. Bake at 350 degrees about 30 min or possibly till it tests done. Cool, then place on racks. Fill and frost with Southern Carrot cake filling.
- Cream together the butter and cream cheese. Add in the sugar and mix well. Add in nuts and vanilla.
