Receta Southern Style Okra

Ingredientes
- 3 slc bacon
- 1/3 c. minced green bell pepper
- 1 stalk celery -- minced
- 1 sm onion -- sliced
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 dsh pepper
- 1 c. coarsely minced tomatoes
- 1 x 10 ounce. pkg. frzn cut okra
- 1 x 7 ounce. can whole kernel corn - liquid removed
Direcciones
- In medium skillet, fry bacon till crisp. Drain on paper towel; reserve drippings. Crumble bacon; set aside. To reserved bacon drippings, add in green bell pepper, celery, and onion. Saute/fry till tender. Add in remaining ingredients; mix well. Cover; simmer 10 to 15 min or possibly till okra is tender, stirring occasionally. Sprinkle with crumbled bacon.
- TIP: One 16-oz can cut okra, liquid removed, and one 8-oz can stewed tomatoes can be substituted for frzn okra and tomatoes.
