Receta Spicy Cornbread With Jalapenos (Pan De Maiz)

Ingredientes
- 10 ounce flour
- 10 ounce cornmeal
- 3 ounce sugar
- 1/2 ounce baking pwdr
- 1/4 ounce baking soda
- 1/3 ounce salt
- 1/2 Tbsp. cayenne
- 6 ounce hydrogenated vegetable shortening
- 2 x Large eggs
- 2 c. buttermilk
- 1 ounce corn syrup plus
- 1Â 1/2 c. corn syrup
- 2 x jalapenos chopped
- 1/2 c. small-diced green bell pepper
- 1/2 c. small-diced red bell pepper
- 1/2 c. small-diced yellow bell pepper
Direcciones
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Sift the flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking pwdr, baking soda, salt, and cayenne together in a bowl of a standing mixer. Add in the shortening to the dry ingredients till completely combined. Add in the Large eggs, buttermilk, and corn syrup.
- Mix in the jalapenos, green, red, and yellow peppers. Place batter 3/4 of the way up a lined mini muffin tin.
- Bake in the oven till an inserted toothpick comes out clean, about 25 min.
- This recipe yields 8 to 10 servings.
