Ingredientes
- 2Â 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 c. cornstarch
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 3 Tbsp. baking pwdr
- 1 Tbsp. grnd red pepper
- 2 tsp salt
- 2 c. club soda
- Â Â Vegetable oil for frying
- 2 lrg sweet yellow onions cut 3/8"-thk slices,
- Â Â and separated into rings
Direcciones
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, cornstarch, sugar, baking pwdr, grnd red pepper, and salt. Whisk the club soda into the flour mix.
- In a large saucepan, heat 2 inches of oil over medium heat till warm but not smoking.
- Dip each onion ring into the batter, allowing the excess to drip back into the bowl. Fry a few rings at a time for 5 to 6 min, or possibly till golden brown. Drain on a paper towel-lined platter and serve.
- This recipe yields 4 servings.
