- 1 T (or less) sesame oil
- salt and pepper to taste
- reserve pineapple juice (approx. 5 ounces)
- 1 small or medium onion, diced
- 1 medium carrot, grated
- 1 inch piece of ginger, grated
- 1 cup rice vinegar
- 2+ tsp. chili flakes
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbs. soy sauce
- 1 tsp. fish sauce
- corn starch dissolved in water
