- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1 garlic clove, crushed
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tbsp ground cumin powder
- 1 cup tomato puree
- 1 cup chopped spinach, tightly packed
- salt and pepper to taste
