May is sandwich month at Carolina HeartStrings and Alessa and I have been making some wonderful combinations. This week I decided to made a tried and true favorite at our house. The Husband and I love a tuna melt. This is such an easy recipe to personalize any way that you want and it would also be wonderful as a healthy meal option for lunch or dinner served with my apple salad. Delicious!

Ingredientes

Cost per serving $6.00 view details
  • 2 cups tuna (I like mine in the pouch in water)
  • 4 dill pickles, chopped
  • 4 tablespoons Miracle Whip
  • 2 tablespoons onion, chopped fine
  • 4 tomato slices
  • 4 slices of your favorite cheese
  • 4 slices of bread

Direcciones

  1. Mix together the tuna, Miracle Whip, pickle and onion. Stir until blended. Toast bread in toaster oven so that both sides are lightly browned. Divide the tuna mixture evenly among the 4 slices of bread. Place a tomato slice on top of the tuna mixture and then top with your favorite cheese, as little or as much as you would like. Put back into the toaster oven and toast until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Makes 4 servings.
