%20%20Now,%20I%20have%20to%20tell%20you%20that%20I%20have%20never%20had%20a%20White%20Castle%20burger%20of%20any%20kind.%20%20The%20place%20doesn't%20exist%20in%20New%20York%20State%20-%20that%20I%20know%20of.%20%20I%20wasn't%20sure%20what%20to%20expect%20but%20I%20must%20say,%20it%20was%20pretty%20darn%20good!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20saw%20this%20recipe%20on%20Robin%20Sue's%20blog%20Big%20Red%20Kitchen%20last%20year%20when%20she%20made%20them%20(Thanks%20Robin%20Sue!!).%20%20Don't%20ask%20me%20why%20or%20how%20it%20took%20me%20so%20long%20to%20finally%20make%20them%20myself.%20%20I%20know%20it%20won't%20be%20the%20last%20time!%20%20I%20think%20these%20would%20be%20fun%20to%20serve%20at%20a%20small%20party%20and%20I%20also%20think%20they%20would%20travel%20well%20-%20and%20that%20they%20would%20warm%20in%20the%20oven%20wrapped%20in%20foil%20well%20too!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThis%20is%20really%20quick%20to%20throw%20together.%20%20I%20took%20Robin%20Sue's%20recipe%20and%20cut%20it%20in%20half%20-%20since%20it%20is%20just%20Grumpy%20&%20me%20we%20didn't%20need%2012%20sliders!%20%20I%20also%20used%20red%20onion%20flakes%20(made%20by%20Litehouse%20and%20oh%20so%20good!)%20and%20Morton's%20Nature's%20Seasoning%20Blend%20instead%20of%20seasoned%20salt%20(less%20sodium)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhite%20Castle-Like%20Burgers%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Eadapted%20from%20Big%20Red%20Kitchen%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIf%20you%20make%20this%20as%20a%20half%20recipe%20it%20is%20likely%20it%20will%20serve%202%20-%203%20people.%20%20Grumpy%20had%20two%20and%20I%20had%20one%20so%20there%20are%20leftovers.%20%20I%20will%20see%20how%20they%20are%20warmed%20up%20when%20I%20take%20one%20to%20lunch%20tomorrow.%20%20:)%20%20I%20served%20these%20with%20Savory%20Grilled%20Potatoes%20from%20allrecipes.com.%20%20Another%20definite%20keeper!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E6%20dinner%20rolls%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESprinkle%20dehydrated%20onion%20flakes%20in%20bottom%20of%209x9%20(or%208x8)%20baking%20dish.%20%20Crumble%20raw%20beef%20over%20top%20of%20the%20onions%20evenly.%20%20Pat%20in%20dish%20making%20one%20giant%20burger.%20%20Sprinkle%20lightly%20with%20seasoning.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBake%20in%20400%20degree%20oven%2015-20%20minutes%20(it%20took%20mine%20only%2015).%20%20Remove%20from%20oven,%20carefully%20drain%20the%20burger%20juice%20from%20pan%20and%20then%20pat%20the%20top%20of%20burger%20with%20a%20paper%20towel%20to%20absorb%20fat%20that%20has%20accumulated%20on%20top.%20%20Place%204%20cheese%20slices%20on%20top%20of%20meat.%20%20Place%20back%20in%20oven%20and%20cook%202-3%20minutes%20more%20or%20until%20cheese%20begins%20to%20melt.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECut%20burger%20into%206%20even%20pieces.%20%20Serve%20on%20dinner%20roll%20(was%20the%20perfect%20size%20for%20this!)%20with%20dill%20pickles,%20mustard,%20mayo%20and/or%20ketchup,%20if%20desired.%20%20I%20see%20that%20Robin%20Sue%20served%20them%20with%20dill%20pickle%20slices%20and%20a%20side%20of%20ketchup.%20%20Maybe%20that%20is%20the%20White%20Castle%20way%20of%20serving%20them%20-%20and%20I'm%20sure%20good%20-%20but%20I%20gotta%20have%20all%20my%20condiments!%20%20:)%20Enjoy!%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
