Receta Whole Wheat Nut Bread

Ingredientes
- 2/3 c. minced pitted dates
- 1/2 c. minced figs
- 1/2 c. minced nuts
- 2 c. flour
- 3 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon soda
- 1 c. whole wheat flour
- 1/4 c. packed brown sugar
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/2 c. honey
- 1 1/3 c. lowfat milk
- 3 tbsp. melted shortening
- 1 1/2 teaspoon grated orange rind
Direcciones
- Mix fruits and nuts with 2 Tbsp. of the flour. Sift together remaining flour, baking pwdr, salt and soda; stir in whole wheat flour. Thoroughly combine brown sugar and egg; blend in honey, lowfat milk, shortening and orange rind. Add in to dry ingredients, mixing just till flour is moistened. Mix in fruits and nuts. Turn into greased 9x5x3 inch loaf pan. Bake in 350 degree gas oven 1 to 1 1/4 hrs. Cold before removing from pan. Makes 1 loaf.
