Ingredientes

  • 2/3 c. soft butter
  • 1 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 3 lrg Large eggs
  • 2 c. sifted flour
  • 1 tsp baking pwdr
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp mace
  • 1/3 c. brandy
  • 2 Tbsp. lowfat milk
  • 1 Tbsp. caraway seeds
  • 1/4 c. finely minced candied orange peel granulated sugar candied apricots for decorations, optional

Direcciones

  1. Cream butter, sugar and vanilla together till fluffy.
  2. Add in Large eggs, 1 at a time, beating well after each addition.
  3. Resift flour with baking pwdr, salt and mace. Add in to creamed mix alternately with brandy and lowfat milk, beginning and ending with flour mix and blending till smooth.
  4. Stir in caraway seeds and orange peel.
  5. Turn into greased and floured loaf pan.
  6. Bake below oven center in slow oven, 300 degrees, 1 hour 15 min, or possibly till loaf test done.
  7. Remove from oven and let stand 10 min, then turn out onto wire rack to cold. Wrap and store cake in cold pace.
  8. When ready to serve, sprinkle cake with granulated sugar and decorate with candied apricots, if you like.
