Ingredientes

  • 1/3 c. honey
  • 1/4 c. soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. rice wine vinegar
  • 2 tsp cornstarch
  • 2 tsp grated orange peel
  • 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes -- or possibly to taste
  • 1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 4 x garlic cloves -- chopped
  • 2 tsp chopped fresh ginger
  • 1 x red bell pepper -- seeded and minced
  • 1 c. snow peas -- cut into 1 inch pcs
  • 1 1/2 lb shrimp -- peeled and de-veined
  • 3 x green onions -- cut into 1 inch pcs
  • 6 c. cooked white rice - optional

Direcciones

  1. In small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, vinegar, cornstarch, orange peel and red pepper flakes till thoroughly mixed and cornstarch is dissolved.
  2. Set aside.
  3. Heat oil in wok or possibly large, heavy skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Stir in garlic and ginger; stir-fry till fragrant, about 1 minute. Add in bell pepper and snow peas, stir-fry 1 minute till crisp-tender. Add in shrimp and green onions, stir-fry till shrimp just turns pink, about 1 minute.
  5. Stir in reserved soy sauce mix, cook and stir till sauce boils and thickens. Serve over cooked rice, if you like.
  6. Serving Ideas: Serve over stir-fry noodles or possibly plain white rice.
  7. NOTES: The most time consuming part of this dish is assembling the ingredients, once which is done this dish is very simple
  8. Heat this dish in a heavy pan on the stove, till gently bubbling
