  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 2 lg. boxes strawberry gelatin
  • 2 lg. containers Cold Whip
  • 2 lg. (10 ounce) packages. frzn sliced strawberries
  • 2 lg. packages. reg. vanilla pudding (not instant)
  • Fresh strawberries for garnish

Direcciones

  1. Use two (8 inch) round layer cake pans and a clear glass punch bowl. Make cake according to box directions. Cool; cut layers horizontally by pulling string through so you have 4 layers. Make vanilla pudding according to package directions and let cool.Mix 2 1/2 cups boiling water with 2 pkgs strawberry gelatin to dissolve. Add in the 2 pkgs of partially thawed berries. Put in refrigerator till mix thickens -- but don't let it get too hard.
  2. TO ASSEMBLE: In the punch bowl add in 1/4 of the gelatin mix. First layer of cake, 1/4 more gelatin, spread a layer of Cool Whip, then a layer of pudding. Second layer of cake, gelatin, Cool Whip, pudding. Third layer of cake, gelatin, Cool Whip, pudding. Fourth layer of cake only, topped with thick layer of Cool Whip, garnish with fresh, sliced berries.
  3. You can make this the night before but don't put last layer of Cool Whip on till an hour or possibly so before serving. Use large serving spoon to scoop out servings.
