Ingredientes
- 2 cups (255 g) AP flour
- 1 t baking powder
- 1 t salt
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup dark brown sugar
- ½ cup light brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 T vanilla
- 1½ cups total of chocolate chips and/or chopped nuts (Alex chose to use half dark chocolate chips and half semisweet chocolate chips)
- coarse salt for salting the tops of the blondies

%20because%20these%20blondies%20are%20the%20bomb.%20(If%20you%20are%20wondering%20why%20we%20still%20made%20them,%20I%20won%E2%80%99t%20lie,%20I%20am%20starting%20to%20worry%20I%20will%20run%20out%20of%20dishes%20to%20blog%20about%20while%20I%20am%20fighting%20this%20C.%20Diff%20infection.)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20don%E2%80%99t%20know%20why%20it%20took%20a%20recipe%20in%20a%20cookbook%20for%20me%20to%20think%20about%20adding%20browned%20butter%20to%20blondies,%20which%20are%20already%20pretty%20much%20the%20essence%20of%20caramel-y%20goodness.%20I%20was%20reading%20Noelle%E2%80%99s%20review%20of%20The%20Cookiepedia:%20Mixing%20Baking,%20and%20Reinventing%20the%20Classics%20over%20at%20Opera%20Singer%20in%20the%20Kitchen,%20which%20(naturally,%20me%20being%20me)%20led%20to%20me%20purchasing%20that%20cookbook.%20Where%20I%20found%20this%20recipe%20for%20browned%20butter%20blondies%20and%20had%20a%20serious%20%E2%80%9Cduh!%E2%80%9D%20moment.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20mentioned%20that%20Alex%20made%20these%20cookies%20for%20me.%20We%20finally%20had%20a%20good%20opportunity%20to%20take%20our%20OXO%20mini%20beakers%20for%20a%20test%20drive.%20Full%20disclosure:%20OXO%20sent%20me%20a%20set%20of%20these%20as%20part%20of%20their%20Blogger%20Outreach%20program,%20and%20I%20could%20not%20have%20been%20more%20excited.%20All%20opinions%20are%20my%20own,%20I%20have%20not%20been%20compensated%20in%20any%20way%20for%20this%20post%20other%20than%20receiving%20the%20beakers%20themselves.%20Which%20I%20have%20been%20lusting%20after%20since%20the%20moment%20I%20saw%20them.%20This%20is%20one%20product%20that%20honestly%20does%20not%20need%20to%20be%20seen%20and%20used%20to%20be%20believed.%20The%20genius%20of%20the%20beakers%20is%20apparent%20just%20from%20looking%20at%20them,%20especially%20for%20any%20of%20us%20cooking%20and/or%20baking%20with%20small%20children.%20How%20many%20of%20you%20do%20not%20allow%20your%20kids%20to%20measure%20the%20vanilla%20extract?%20I%20know%20I%20am%20guilty.%20But%20as%20the%20following%20photos%20illustrate,%20these%20beakers%20make%20measuring%20liquids%20so%20easy%E2%80%93for%20adults%20too!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPouring%20the%20vanilla%20into%20the%20beaker%E2%80%A6%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAnd%20pouring%20the%20vanilla%20extract%20into%20the%20blondie%20batter%E2%80%A6.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESeriously,%20now%20that%20we%20have%20these%20beakers,%20the%20only%20things%20I%20needed%20to%20do%20for%20this%20recipe%20were%20brown%20the%20butter%20(because%20it%20is%20on%20the%20stovetop)%20and%20pour%20the%20blondie%20batter%20into%20the%20baking%20pan%20(because%20it%20is%20heavy).%20These%20beakers%20were%20approved%20by%20mom%20and%20daughter%20alike.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESalted%20Browned%20Butter%20Blondies%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ERecipe%20type:%20bar%20cookies%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECuisine:%20dessert%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ELine%20a%209X13%20pan%20with%20parchment%20paper.%20Set%20aside.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPreheat%20the%20oven%20to%20350%20F.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhisk%20together%20the%20flour,%20baking%20powder%20and%20salt%20in%20a%20large%20bowl.%20Set%20aside.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBrown%20the%20butter%20in%20a%20medium%20stainless%20steel%20pan.%20Whisk%20constantly%20over%20medium%20high%20heat.%20When%20it%20turns%20reddish%20brown,%20remove%20from%20the%20heat%20immediately%20and%20whisk%20in%20the%20sugars.%20Whisk%20in%20the%20vanilla.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIf%20it%20has%20cooled%20enough%20to%20insert%20your%20finger%20into%20it,%20than%20also%20add%20the%20eggs,%20whisking%20immediately%20to%20prevent%20the%20eggs%20from%20cooking.%20If%20it%20is%20still%20too%20hot,%20place%20the%20pan%20in%20a%20cold%20water%20bath%20for%20a%20few%20minutes%20(I%20just%20fill%20my%20sink%20with%20cold%20water).%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBeat%20the%20butter%20sugar%20mixture%20until%20it%20is%20thick,%20smooth%20and%20shiny.%20Scrape%20the%20mixture%20into%20the%20flour%20mixture.%20Stir%20gently%20until%20the%20flour%20is%20totally%20absorbed.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOnce%20again,%20if%20the%20dough%20is%20so%20hot%20it%20will%20melt%20the%20chocolate%20chips,%20place%20it%20in%20a%20cold%20water%20bath.%20When%20it%20is%20just%20a%20little%20warm,%20fold%20in%20the%20chocolate%20chips%20and/or%20nuts.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EScrape%20the%20dough%20into%20the%20prepared%20pan.%20Use%20a%20spatula%20to%20smooth%20the%20dough%20into%20all%20the%20corners%20of%20the%20pan,%20evenly.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESprinkle%20the%20top%20of%20the%20dough%20evenly%20with%20a%20little%20coarse%20salt.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBake%20for%20about%2030%20minutes,%20until%20the%20dough%20is%20golden%20brown,%20shiny%20and%20set.%20Remove%20from%20the%20oven%20and%20let%20cool%20completely%20in%20the%20pan,%20before%20removing%20by%20the%20parchment%20paper%20to%20a%20wooden%20cutting%20board%20to%20slice%20the%20bars.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E3.2.1596%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ebar%20cookies,%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Eblondies,%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ebrowned%20butter,%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Echocolate,%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Echocolate%20chips,%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ecookies,%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ekids%20baking,%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Emini%20beakers,%3
