Ingredientes

Cost per serving $1.70 view details
  • 1 lb boneless tender beef
  •     (sirloin, flank steak, or possibly chuck)
  • 2 x green onions chopped
  • 1 Tbsp. chopped garlic
  • 1 tsp chopped ginger
  • 1/4 c. soy sauce
  • 3 Tbsp. dry sherry
  • 4 tsp sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp toasted sesame seeds crushed
  • 1 pch freshly-grnd black pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. sesame oil

Direcciones

  1. Cut the beef into thin slices, about 3 inches square and 1/4-inch thick.
  2. Combine the marinade ingredients in a medium bowl. Add in the beef and stir to coat. Cover and chill for at least 3 hrs or possibly overnight. Sprinkle with sesame oil just before cooking.
  3. Place the meat on a lightly greased grill 3 to 4 inches above a solid bed of low-glowing coals. Cook, turning once, till just browned on both sides, about 2 min total. Serve immediately.
  4. This recipe yields 4 servings.
  5. Comments: Pork reigns in China, but in Korea, beef is the most favored meat. If you've eaten in a Korean restaurant, perhaps you've tasted bulgogi, the most famous beef dish of all. On the show, I cook this on a dome-shaped Genghis Khan grill. You can cook it directly on your barbecue or possibly under the broiler, or possibly even sear the meat quickly in a frying pan.
