Influencias de Cocina
My kitchen is my sanctuary from the cruelties of the world. It is my space to be creative with flavour and texture, as well as playing with the multiple perspectives that make up dinner. Food is at once art and artifice, as well as medicine, celebrant, guilty pleasure, and a warm blanket. I am influenced to cook and eat what my body craves and for what it asks. If its peanut butter and crackers, so be it!
My culinary influences are all over the map - I find inspiration in the warmth of the spices in Lebanese cooking, the precise techniques of French, the generosity of Italian, and the downright lashing of heat and flavour of Thai. I am also partial to the inventiveness of Spanish and Mexican cuisines, and I would never turn down anything with dark chocolate from anywhere.
