I was one of the first corporate chef in San Francisco in the early 80's. I had spent the previous decade in food and beverage at the Westin Hotel, Fisherman's Wharf and Sally Standfords "Vahalla". The 90's I had a public access cooking show with my partner Molly Adams. We were on around 25 stations and 3 International shows. We had a monthly 3 minute cooking spot on KSBW with Kate Callahan's noon news. We frequented summer faires and preformed at the Gilroy Garlic Festival and Mt View's "Ala Cart and Art". We also taught cooking in the adult school system in Santa Clara County.
In 1999 we started a speciality food and gift website called Gourmet Country. Molly and I have been building that business since. I create the recipes for our bi-monthly newsletter and do the photography for the website.
Recently we started a channel on youtube where we create video recipes. I cook, Molly is camera 1 and 2 and an editing genius. We are asking chef's from around the area to come shoot a video with us and use our products.
I was pleased to read about this site and look forward to sharing recipes and ideas with everyone. While I have cooked professionally I am self taught and always interested in learning new techniques.
