I've struggled with my weight my whole life. When I was pregnant with my daughter, I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes. After she was born, I gained even more weight, reaching my all time high of 200lbs. When she was about 15 months old, I'd finally had it - I couldn't keep up with her, or play with her on the floor without a lot if discomfort. I had to lose weight once & for all, in a healthy way! It was a long journey (she's 7 now) but I dropped 70 lbs and have kept it off, for the first time in my life. I eat lots of veggies, protein and whole, natural foods. I avoid processed foods and excess sugar. One thing I don't avoid is (good) fat! Don't fear the fat, folks! Avocados, coconut butter/oil, nut butters, etc. are my friends. Trans fats are not.
