I have been a big fan of the kitchen for many years. I have raised five daughters, who have enjoyed the countless times that I have prepared meal or baked a dessert. We are a fluffy bunch, only because we love sweets. I love to cook. As I find recipes and try them, I like to share the experience, good or bad. The most asked for dessert from my girls have been my double fudge chocolate cheesecake squares. It is a time consuming recipe, but so worth it when they are done. So for now, I will be adding some of our favorites. I enjoy trying new recipes, so I will gladly accept any.

Ever since I was a little girl, many years ago my grandmothers always cooking in the kitchen when my parents took us for our weekly visit. To this day, she is 84, and still bakes on a regular. She always shares her time and delicious home baked goodness. I can honestly say I have never walked into her home without smelling something brewing on the stove or something fresh baking in the oven. Our family grew up around food, whether it was preparing for a large picnic or just having family over for dinner. I was being prepared for motherhood and didn't even realize it. I wanted the same for my kids, so nothing changed having my own family. The kids always had friends over, they would call me mom. I always prepared more than enough, just in case. Now that my children are grown and beginning to start their own families, I have.shared many of my recipes with them to carry into their households. I hope that the recipes I post here will put a smile on someone's face..even for just a moment so that I can try to come close to the way my grandmother must feel when she shares a piece of her heart too.
