Acerca de mí
Both my parents were born in Europe, and so I grew up with a vast knowledge of how food should look and taste. Cooking is my passion and I like to try out tons of different recipes on my friends and family. I have had the good fortune to be able to travel to different parts of the world, which has really helped me in learning how to cook different foods. I love presentation. I do turly believe that one "eats with their eyes " first. If it looks good it should taste good.
I look forward to meeting here and exchanging recipes and innovative ideas for anything to do with food and restaurants.
Influencias de Cocina
My Mother was my biggest influence while growing up.....She let me start helping her in the kitchen when I was 7 years old. I learned how to make salads, and other veggie dishes that were not to complicated. By the time I was 13 I could make bread from scratch totally on my onw. I went in leaps and bounds until I was in high school and decided to take the cooking course they offered as an extra credit. I achieved beyond my classmates and that is when my teacher suggested I enter a cooking school to make cooking my career. I loved cooking, but did not want to limit myself to this as a full time job. I wanted to get married and raise a famly. For me cooking was a passion, BUT not something I had to do for a living.
I have taken a lot of cooking courses in different areas of interest in both Canada and in Europe and feel that I have a lot of experiences to share here on this site. Although I do not have a certificate that says I am a Red Seal Cook....I do have a ton of courses which I feel makes me very much a professional. I look forward to sharing my recipes with you.
