  1. Sift dry ingredients together and cut in shortening. Dissolve yeast in hot water. Add in to buttermilk. Add in liquids to dry ingredients. Knead lightly. Don't let rise. Roll out dough 1/2 inch thick. Cut into biscuits. May be shaped into rolls as desired. Bake at 400 degrees till done, 10 to 15 min. Dough will keep in refrigerator for 2 to 3 weeks.
