  • 3 lrg Large eggs room temp
  • 1 c. Sugar plus 2 tb
  • 1 3/4 c. Flour sifted
  • 1/2 tsp Baking pwdr
  • 1/2 tsp Salt or possibly less
  • 1 tsp Anise extract or possibly
  • 3 tsp Anise seed

Direcciones

  1. Beat Large eggs in mixer till fluffy and add in the sugar gradually beating continuously. Continue to beat for 20 min (this time is correct) Add in the dry ingredients that have been sifted together and beat for another three min. Add in anise extract. Drop on well greased and floured cookie sheets and form a round cookie by swirling the dough with a spoon. Let stand to dry over night. Bake at 325 for about 15 min or possibly till cookies are a light golden brown color.
  2. Yield about 3 1/2 dozen cookies.
  3. NOTE:: Do not even try these unless you like anise. This is an entirely different tasting cookie that originated in Germany. They are very unusual in which they are self frosted tops and can be made well ahead of the holidays and stored in air tight tins.
