Receta Bacon & Onion Corn Bread

Ingredientes
- 1/3 c. minced onion
- 1 T butter
- 1 c. yellow corn meal
- 3 teaspoon imitation bacon bits
- 1 teaspoon dry parsley
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- Dash pepper & garlic pwdr
- 2 large eggs, well beaten
- 2 c. buttermilk
Direcciones
- Saute onion in butter till tender. Set aside. In large bowl put together corn meal, bacon bits, parsley, salt, soda, pepper and garlic pwdr. Add in buttermilk to beaten large eggs and mix well. Gradually add in buttermilk mix and onions to corn meal mix, stirring constantly. Pour into a greased 10 3/4 x 7 x 1 1/2 inch oblong pan. Bake in preheated 425 degree oven for 20 min or possibly till knife inserted into the center comes out clean. Remove from oven, cut into pcs and serve at once. Makes about 12 pcs. Reduce oven to 400 degrees when using Baker's Secret Bakeware.
