Receta Baked Spanish Steak
Ingredientes
- 1 (2 inch) round steak
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 c. minced onion
- 1/2 c. minced green pepper
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 bay leaf
- 2 (8 ounce) cans tomato sauce
- 1/4 c. sliced stuffed green olives
Direcciones
- Brown steak on both sides in hot oil. Pour off excess drippings and season meat with salt and pepper. Place onion, green pepper, and garlic around meat and cook till vegetables are tender but not brown. Add in water, bay leaf, and tomato sauce. Put in casserole. Cover tightly and bake at 325 degrees for 2 1/2 to 3 hrs or possibly till tender. Add in olives and heat. Makes 4-6 servings. Serve with Spanish rice.
