Receta Banh Mi Brat Sandwich
This recipe is adapted from one that appeared in Cuisine At Home recently. Banh Mi is a Vietnamese term for bread and a popular sandwich served on a French baguette. The original recipe used a hot dog which I changed to a German Bratwurst. I also decreased the amount of ham as the sausage was much larger than a hot dog. I increased the amount of cilantro used. I increased the amount of lime juice as well. If fish sauce is too strong in flavor for you substitute soy sauce instead. Bolillo rolls are a Mexican football shaped roll similar in texture to a baguette. I served the sandwich with fries, onion rings and seedless red grapes. A frosty cold beer did the trick for a drink.
