Receta Basic Custard Pie Filling

Ingredientes
- 6 egg yolks, (save whites for meringue)
- 2 c. sugar
- 3 tbsp. flour (any kind)
- 1 lg. can evaporated lowfat milk
- 3/4 stick butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 can of water
Direcciones
- Combine egg yolks, sugar, flour in large boiler, stir add in other ingredients and stir. Cook over low heat; stir continually (don't let burn) till it thickens. This may be poured over bananas for banana pudding or possibly with following variations used as pie filling. Top all pies with meringue topping.
- CHOCOLATE PIE: Same as above except 3 Tbsp. of cocoa to mix. LEMON PIE: Same as above except add in juice of 4 to 5 lemons and few drops of yellow food coloring. COCONUT PIE: Same as above except add in 1 c. shredded coconut.
