Receta Basic Pearl Barley

Ingredientes
- 3 c. water
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 Tbsp. unsalted butter or possibly canola oil, (optional)
- 1 c. pearl barley, rinsed
Direcciones
- Makes about 3 1/2 c.
- 1. In a medium-sized saucepan, bring the water, salt and butter or possibly canola oil to a boil. Stir in the barley, lower the heat to a simmer, cover the saucepan and simmer gently for 45 min.
- 2. Remove from heat and let stand covered for 15 min before serving.
