Receta BOEREWORS BREAD ROLLS
Boerewors is a delicious traditional sausage type meat eaten mostly at braais (BBQ's) There are as many varieties as there are enthusiastic creators. :)
Ingredientes
- 225g butter or margarine
- 3 cups flour
- 5 ml salt
- 10g packet instant dry yeast (1.5 cubes)
- 200 ml lukewarm water
- Boerewors cut into 8 equal lengths (about 500g) or use your favourite sausages in the same way
Direcciones
- Rub butter into flour.
- Add yeast salt and water knead until smooth.
- Place in a plastic bag - or cover in a bowl and allow to prove for 1hour.(approximately)
- Roll out into a long strip about 50 mm wide.
- Place one piece of boerewors at a time onto dough and cut to size ensuring that the wors is covered and edges protrude from "roll".
- Seal with milk or water.
- Repeat process until all wors has been used.
- Place on a greased baking tray and allow to rise again.
- Glaze with milk or beaten egg.
- Bake for 15 to 20 minutes @ 220 c 450 F
