  • 1 gal. med. & lg. cucumbers, sliced
  • 8 med. onions, sliced
  • 1 sweet green peppers, cut up
  • 1 sweet red pepper, cut up (or possibly liquid removed canned pimentos)
  • 1/2 c. salt

Direcciones

  1. Slice cucumbers, onions, cut up peppers; add in salt and about 4 trays ice cubes. Mix well and let stand 3 hrs. Drain and make a sauce as follows: 1 teaspoon turmeric 1/2 teaspoon grnd cloves 2 tbsp. mustard seed (whole) 2 teaspoon celery seed (whole) 5 c. vinegar
  2. Mix well. Pour over liquid removed cucumbers, onions and peppers. Bring to a boil (but Don't BOIL). Seal while warm. Makes 8 pints.
