Receta Bubba’s Wave Oven Grilled
Ingredientes
- 3lbs large shrimp, peeled with tails on and deveined
- ½ cup peanut oil
- ¼ cup fresh lemon juice
- 8 TBS butter
- 1 TBS - 3 TBS chili powder, to taste
- 1 TBS garlic powder
- Wooden skewers, soaked overnight in salt water bath â See Note Below
Direcciones
- Place peeled shrimp in a large bowl.
- In a medium saucepan, combine all ingredients, except for shrimp and skewers.
- Once butter has melted pour marinade over shrimp.
- Cover, and allow to marinate in refrigerator for 20 - 30 minutes.
- Use 4â rack in Wave Oven.
- Place 4 - 5 shrimp on each skewer.
- Place shrimp on rack and allow to cook for 2 minutes per side.
- Watch shrimp carefully.
- They will be done when they start turning opaque in color.
- Remove and serve.
- Note:
- Put skewers in a large bowl.
- Placed a heavy object on skewers to keep them totally submerged.
- In a separate bowl, add about 2 qts of water and 3 TBS â 4 TBS of salt to water.
- Stir well to dissolve the salt.
- Pour the salt water over the wooden skewers.
- Soak skewers overnight.
- The saltwater will make the skewers swell up and also keeps them from burning on the grill.
- Tip:
- For my heavy object, I did the following;
- I washed a fire brick in the dish washer.
- I allowed it to dry and then wrapped it in several layers of aluminum foil.
- When using it in a liquid, I put it inside a 1 gallon Zip-Loc bag.
