- 1 3/4 cups stone-ground yellow cornmeal, such as Bob's Red MIll brand
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 3/4 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
- 3 tablespoons butter, cut into a few pieces
