  1. Heat margarine in heavy large saucepan over medium-high heat. Fold in 1 tsp. salt, then rice. Saute/fry till rice is golden brown, about 8 min. Add in water. Boil till water is absorbed, about 10 min.
  2. Fold in butter. Cover, reduce heat to very low and cook till rice is tender, stirring occasionally, about 10 min. Transfer pilaf to bowl. Sprinkle with parsley and serve.
  3. Serves 6.
