Ingredientes

  • 4 lb jalapeno peppers actually any chile pepper will do none of the heat is lost
  • 2 lb onions
  • 1/4 c. vinegar
  • 1/4 c. water or possibly more ifneeded
  • 6 c. sugar (to 8 c.) 8 c. if desired sweet
  • 2 Tbsp. mustard seed
  • 2 tsp turmeric
  • 2 tsp celery seed
  • 1 tsp ginger
  • 1 tsp garlic pwdr

Direcciones

  1. Wash and cut jalapenos and onions into thin slices Place in large covered saucepot, with water and vinegar. Bringto a boil, reduce heat and simmer till tender. About 10minutes Pour off most (90%) of the vinegar water. Add in remaining ingredients.EBring to a soft candy temperature on a candy thermometer. Pack in jars leaving 1/4-inch headspace; adjust lids.EYields about 7 pints.
  2. Vidadog Says:This recipe makes a perky topping for cream cheese spread on crackers. EIt's also a nice accompaniment for vegetables and poultry. EI made it a year ago and am getting ready to triple the amount for this year.
