Receta Carolina Style Slow Cooker Pulled Pork
Ingredientes
- 1 pork shoulder (or Boston butt), 5 or 6 pounds, preferably bone-in
- 1/4 cup dry pork rub (recipe follows)
- 2 TBS. liquid smoke
- 1 recipe Barbecue Sauce (below or use your own)
- To make rub (recipe makes approx. 1 cup of rub):
- 4 TBS paprika (Spanish)
- 2 TBS cumin
- 2 TBS ground black pepper
- 2 TBS kosher salt
- 2 TBS granulated sugar
- 2 TBS brown sugar
- 1 TBS granulated garlic
- 1 TBS dark chili powder
- 1 tsp. Cayenne pepper
- For the barbecue sauce:
- 1 1/2 cups apple cider vinegar
- 1 1/2 cups tomato ketchup
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 TBS Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 TBS honey
- 1 tsp. dry mustard
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. ground black pepper
- 1/4 tsp. celery seed
- 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
