Receta Carrot Spice Pie

Ingredientes
- 2 c. canned carrots, liquid removed
- 1/4 c. butter or possibly margarine
- 1/4 c. honey
- 1/2 c. white sugar
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 2 x Large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp grnd cinnamon
- 1 tsp grnd nutmeg
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 x pastry crust
Direcciones
- Method:1. Combine carrots, butter, honey, vanilla extract, salt, Large eggs and spices in a mixing bowl. Mix together thoroughly with an electric mixer; mix till smooth. Mix in white and brown sugars. Pour filling into pastry crust.
- 2. Bake at 350 degrees F ( 175 degrees C) for 50 to 60 min. To determine if pie is done, insert toothpick. If it comes out clean it is ready.
- Makes 1 pie
- This carrot based pie is great to serve on Thanksgiving.
