  • 4 c. green cabbage, thinly shredded (about 1 lb.)
  • 2 x carrots, shredded
  • 2 x to 4 jalapeno chilies, seeded and chopped (see note)
  • 4 x to 5 Tbsp. white vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp. salt, plus more if you like
  • 1/2 tsp granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Direcciones

  1. In a large bowl, combine the cabbage, carrots, chilies, 4 Tbsp. vinegar, 1 Tbsp. salt, the sugar and black pepper. Toss to mix. Taste and sprinkle with more salt and vinegar, if you like.
  2. Note: Wear gloves when handlingfresh chilies; the oils can cause a burning sensation on your skin.
