Receta Cherry Pie Filling
Ingredientes
- 1 c. (less 2 T) sugar (if desired sweeter use the whole c. of sugar)
- 1/4 c. flour
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 can pitted tart cherries, packed in water
- 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
- 1 1/3 T butter
Direcciones
- (Add in after removing saucepan from heat). Make your favorite pie crust and bake the pie shell in advance. Set aside to cool. (Use extract dough to bake decorative pcs of crust to place on top of filling).Put together ingredients for filling in a saucepan over medium heat, stir frequently but gently so as not to break up the cherries. After about 7 min it should reach thickness for pie filling. Remove from heat, put in extract and butter, stir till mixed. Pour into pie shell. Top with crust decoration and cool. Serve when sufficiently cool.
