  1. In a frypan, brown chicken in the oil till golden, then place in crockpot. Add in onion, celery, chicken broth and spices. Set cooker to LOW and cook 4 to 6 hours or possibly till chicken is tender.
  2. Remove 3 c. of broth from the cooker and mix with the walnuts and breadcrumbs. Pour this mix over the chicken. Turn cooker to HIGH, and cook stirring, till sauce has thickened.
  3. Comments: It may be better to put the sauce into a saucepan and boil to reduce the liquid to thicken it.
